The book outlines the author's five visits to the Gulf Coast region in response to the Coast Guard's actions following the devastating hurricane that struck the area in 2006. Steven Craig was recalled to active duty five times to this area and each time, relayed daily emails to those interested in following his work. Serving as a senior Coast Guard officer, along with holding a Masters Degree in Emergency Management and certification as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Craig was highly qualified to bring a professional observation to this story.
